BACK ORDERS


  • High demand for some items may result in your order being placed on backorder.
  • Items on back-order will automatically ship as soon as the materials are received back in stock.

SHIPPING

All components will be shipped via FedEx after processing.

All shipments will be sent via FedEx Ground service unless expedited shipment has been selected.

Expedited 2-Day or Overnight FedEx service is available.  Please select at checkout.

Any shortages or errors must be reported to us as soon as they are discovered.

All orders will be considered complete and final if any issues are not resolved within 30 days.

After 30 days a 25% restocking fee will be applied.

Damages due to shipping must be reported at the time of delivery to the delivery carrier.


STANDARD SHIPPING COSTS


Shipping costs are determined by total weight of your order. Certain items bear a shipping surcharge based on size and/or weight. FedEx Ground service will arrive in 7-10 business days or less depending on your location.

RETAIL RETURN POLICY

1. Returns will be accepted within 30 days from purchase ONLY when accompanied by the completed Return Authorization Form.
2. Restocking fee of 25% will apply to all returns.
3. All electrical parts sales are final.
4. The completed Return Authorization form must accompany all returns, regardless of time line.
5. A detailed explanation of reason for return must accompany all returns.

d. Damage or defective part

6. Part (s) must be in original packaging and condition in order for credit to be issued.
7. All returns must be shipped back at the customers expense.
8. Returns due to shipping damage will not be accepted. Please check your packages for damage upon receipt. All shipping damage claims must be filed with the freight carrier.
9. Adhering to these guidelines allows us to credit your account in a timely manner.

WARRANTY INFORMATION


We warrant to the original consumer or purchaser that your GEM accessories and parts will be free from defects in factory materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of 90 days from the date of sale, subject to the terms and provisions contained herein.

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS

All GEM parts and accessories replaced under warranty become the property of GEM and must be returned to the factory for inspection, on request.  Any other expenses incurred in obtaining warranty repairs, including transportation, are the responsibility of the purchaser, unless otherwise stated in this warranty.

Changes by GEM in design or equipment made during the course of ownership shall not apply to any GEM vehicle previously manufactured or purchased.

This warranty shall not apply to damage or repair costs caused by:

1) Failure to operate, maintain, and service, as specified in the GEM Owner's Manual.
2) Abuse, misuse, neglect, accident, collision, or operation other than the specified design, use and speed.
3) Alteration or repair outside of factory specifications.
4) Use of components, including batteries, not specified in the applicable owner's manual or any damage avoidable with the proper use of specified GEM components.
6) Fading, deterioration or weathering of seats, floor mats, composite parts or paint caused by ordinary wear and tear of exposure.

This warranty shall not apply to normal maintenance. This maintenance includes, but is not limited to, battery fluid replenishment, brake adjustment, brake fluid replenishment, and brake shoes. Consumables such as light bulbs, fuses, etc. are not covered.

Our dealers are independently owned and operated, and may sell products other than GEM. Therefore, you should understand that GEM is not, and cannot be, responsible for the quality, suitability or safety of any non-genuine GEM parts, accessories or design modifications, including labor, which may be sold and/or installed by a GEM dealer or anyone else, or any damage caused thereby. There are no other expressed warranties on your GEM beyond those set forth herein, and no implied warranties of merchantability or fitness to the full extent allowed by law. GEM and its dealers shall not be liable for loss of use, inconvenience, lost time, commercial loss or any incidental, consequential or other damages.

MOBILE SERVICE

Products on this site are available for purchase and installation by a GEM factory-trained, NEV Service Technician in California, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, and Virginia. Working out of their Mobile Service Vans, equipped with all the necessary tools and test equipment, as well as having an extensive stock of repair parts, batteries and accessories, allows them the ability to perform any repairs or accessory installations at your home, business, or military base, therefore eliminating the need to have your vehicle driven or towed to a service facility.  Please call 1.866.764.0616 or e-mail nevservice@gemcar.com if interested in this service.
